Summary

Looking for her friend, she found a lover instead. A shock, the fear of losing someone is sometimes what one needs in order to realize what is really important.

Love confession

[...]

"Mhhh... I've never been in this part of the clinic... I'm not even sure I am allowed to be here?" she thought, climbing the stairs timidly. Almost on top, she squinted her eyes : "... There are people...? ... ... Why am I hiding again?" she asked herself, now finding herself spying on the group.

Xiao perks up a bit as the music that had been playing stops and looks towards the stairway. Well...could be another visitor. She gives the pair a quick nod before moving past Yu She to see if someone was coming or if she had made the wrong assumption. "Hello?"

"Move now, or this is going to look awkward" she thought, her heart jumping when hearing ZeXiao's call. She cleared her throat loudly to declare her presence. "Heem! Yes, hello? Is there anyone?"

"I still need to attend some personal things but I'm glad you have company... Huh? snooper?" Yu She turns around and raises a brow, walking towards the stairs. "You need something?"

Yuelan would recognize the voice, she chuckles yet again and it leads to another cough. "Is that who I think it is..?" She would murmur to herself.

Xiao snorts a bit and nods, stepping out completely as Yu She moves forward. "Mhmm. Are you here to see Yuelan? She's stable enough for visitors."

Ye Yu found herself a bit embarrassed. She was not expecting to find anyone or, more especially, she wasn't expecting to be found out wandering there. She stammered some confused words: "I-huh, I was just looking around, heard some voices, I thought, it's just that... hem... wait, sorry? What... who? Did you just... Yuelan?". Something in this confusing order.

Yu She placed a hand on her hip, looking at Ye Yu a bit curious "Ah you were the one playing music?" She asked, humming with an idea came by "Look, as long as you don't break anything you can play something here, keep the girls company, try anything and you'll hear from me, yes? good good" She walked up to her and pat her shoulder "I need to go. Keep recovering Yuelan!" She waved to both women and went down stairs.

Her face successively showed happiness, excitation, incomprehension, worries and confusion again.

Yuelan would wave back with her metalic arm, though she would find it odd to do.

Xiao shakes her head, exasperated before waving at Ye Yu to come closer. "You haven't heard? Don't worry, she's fine. Just healing. Do you want to see her?"

"Are we talking about the same Yuelan...? Young, head in the clouds, with lots of papers floating around?" she asked, slowly approaching, as if rushing could wake her up from a dream. She removed her hat, being inside after all!

"Hmm, I only know the one. But we'll see," she offers before stepping side to guide the other inside. "If you're up for it, you have another visitor."

"I guess she managed to slip on some wet rocks or to catch some nasty cold... Or she got stoned by those farmers again?" she mumbled for herself.

Yuelan would place bother hands by her side, using them as a support to keep herself up. Though slightly awkardly with her right arm, since it felt as if she was balancing herself with a heavy stick on that side. "Yeah, yeah. I'm good!"

Xiao smiles a bit awkwardly, not used to playing the attending medic as she shows the visitor in. "Yuelan is healing from the amputation but she's doing good. Lucid, pain handled, prosthetic isn't rejecting. You still have to be a calm presence since we don't want her to get worked up but a visit can be good for the spirit."

Instantaneously recognizing the hat, Ye Yu's face also instantly brighten up, before she hid her joy with a casual attitude. "Oh, Yuelan, I've been ... not looking for you those last days at aaaa-". She blinked several times, trying to comprehend what she just heard. "-aaaaamputation?". Dumbfounded. Confused. Worried. Alarmed. Confused again. "WHAT- sorry. What... amputation?!"

Aaaaaaand panic. Xiao places a hand on Ye Yu's shoulder to ground her and huffs. "Yuelan can tell you...-if- you calm down. Get too worked up and I'll have to kick you out."

"Hiii" She said as she waved with her metalic arm, leaning more onto her left arm and tilting her head.

Her eyes alternated between Yuelan and ZeXiao, speechless for a moment, her mouth moving without sounds escaping. Then, eventually finding her inner unmute button, she shouted : "YUELAN! You limping, limbless, stupid doe! I told you NOT to die and, and, and... And you LOSE AN ARM?!"

Xiao snorts again and starts trying to guide her to sit on the available stool. "She's -fine-. If she starts looking to be in pain, ask someone to get her more medicine. Talk to her. Easy."

Yuelan would be taken aback, her eyes widened. Alternating her look between Ye Yu and Xiao.

The coroner looks to the sky as if to ask the heavens what she did to deserve this...and grabs a couple more dried berries from the table to stuff into her hand. "These are for the nerves. Take a deep breathe."

"You stupid, idiot, carefree, dumb, foolish, mindless..." She took a deeeep breathe and exhaled.

Xiao nods in satisfaction. "Good. Thats much better."

"It is not my fault that the mean lady STABBED my arm."

Looking worried, she tilted her head. ".... Does it hurt? How... what?". She took a deep, big breath again and sighed. "How did you ended up getting stabbed in the first place?"

Xiao crosses her arms, proud of herself for handling the situation. "Now you kids play nice. I have a few more beds I have to check."

She sighed again. "I don't know if I should care for you or kick you ass..." she said softly before nodding to ZeXiao. "Thank you... Thank you... Doctor?"

"Something like that" Xiao offers cryptically before turning to leave with a wave.

Yuelan would nod towads Xiao, before focusing their attention towards Ye Yu. "Well I can't really predict that people would... AMBUSH, people just trying to get herbs..."

"Herbs? Ambush? I-..." she was about to continue but swallowed back her words. Again, deep inhalation, exhale... It was a very good breathing exercice!

"Focus on your breathing, Robin." Yuelan would say before unmasking herself, placing the mask by the bedside table.

"I-.... A glad to meet you again" she started off again. "Even if I would have preferred... Finding you... Not in a clinic bed with some part of you chopped off."

"Well there is not much I can do about that now, at least not that I know." She says with a smile and chuckle.

Putting down her instruments -and also her mask-, she sat a bit closer to Yuelan, her frowning expression showing her inquietude she was trying to hide in her voice. "Iiii-.... For how long have you been here? I mean... When... do... hem..."

"Shhh," Yuelan would hush her as Ye Yu spoke. "I don't know how many days... but I am fine, I promise."

She blinked, surprised to be shushed. She eventually let out a little exhale of relief and a timid smile. "I am still mad at you!" she scolded. "I guess... I guess you'll need to rest for at least a few days here, right?"

"Is that why are so red when you are around me?" She said in a questioning tone. "And yes... I believe so."

"Y-y... YES! Because you are so... irritating! I'm always... boiling inside where you're around" she answered, the second part being spoke way softer. "Then! I guess I'll have to come everyday to entertain you and keep you company. Boredom is not good for recovery. And I shall get fresh fruits and good meals, to help your body regenerate. Food I will pay with -your- money, of course!"

Yuelan would reach her metalic arm out towards Ye Yu. Placing her hand onto her shoulder. "That indeed sounds really... nice." Her voice soft.

She jumped a bit at the metalic touch, but mostly because of the act itself than the material. She blushed and looked away. "Yes, well... I guess it's... the least I can do for you. For... a... wounded person. Individual. People... ... You're not going to... die, right?" she asked timidly, trying so stay detached and casual.

"Do you also leave them with a kiss as a goodbye?" Yuelan asks Ye Yu jokingly. "And no, I am never going to die."

"What? Oh! Oooh I-, no! It's just you! I meant-, it is because... I... You... You'd better not die, you- stupid.... terrible, frustrating, dumb, cute doe!" she half whined, half whimped, eyes shining with tears. "Who would help me... get more juicy melons if you're leaving?". She looked away again, blinking fast to evacuate all the wetness in her eyes.

Yuelan would move her metalic hand towards Ye Yu's cheek, as if trying to prepare herself to wipe any potential tears and to make Ye Yu look at her. The hand being cold and giving uneven pressure on her cheek. "I am not going to die... and yes I will help get more melons.. Juicy, melons of course."

"Inhale... exhale....". She bite her lower lip, her hands tapping nervously on her lap, betraying her inner agitation. She thought about her previous discussion in the tearoom across the street. Then looked at Yuelan's face. Feelings? She felt her cheeks burning, red and hot enough to melt the prothesic arm. "I-...". Her heart rate was increasing again and her mind was getting blank and numb.

Yuelan would bring her hand back to herself, and just look at Ye Yu. "Are you okay?" She says, as her own heart rate rised.

"Why... why is my heart playing like a drum
Why is my mind becoming uselessly numb?
Why, in your absence, is my mood nothing but glum?"

She would give a dumb smile towards the little verse. "I miss those little verses of yours. Haven't heard them in a while since we first met."

She timidly put a hand on the bed, near Yuelan's hand.

Yuelan's metalic hand would creep towards her hand, awkwardly.

She, inch by inch, closed the gap between their hands as she continues her verses :

"For you, love songs I shall sing everyday
For you, any melody you desire I will play
For you, every meal, -even fruits!- I will pay
But please… Don't ever leave me, don't go away?"

Nuwu watches from a distance, her Qi hidden until she felt she was needed. Feng gave her away though, he was never good at keeping quiet. His Cinnamon feathers ruffle and he trills extra loud in the sky.

Liyan heads in to wash her hands before starting her shift. Tilting her head she smiles "Good for her" she mumbles to herself

There would be a lingering pause between the both of them. "I never planned on it, though I can't promise I can bring you everywhere." Her tone gentle and vulnerable.

A quiet sigh, at least she was happy.

Ye Yu jumped a bit, hearing the bird ponctuating loudly her little poem.

Deciding to stay out of the way, Liyan works on mixing medicine, her rounds could wait for a bit.

"Feng! You ruined a moment!" And then the Qi of a particular healer was sensed swiftly. "So sorry you two." She bows gently.

Yuelan would chuckle at Feng's little interruption.

"He says hi in his...." He dances in the skies and sings for joy. "Special way." Nuwu remained quiet, patient.... whatever they were talking about was important."

Clearing her throat, blinking and intertwining her fingers with Yuelan's, she whispered :

"I-.... I don't want..." -inhale, exhale, why was air so scarce around here?-
"I-... Don't want to be your shadow
To be at your sides, if you allow
It would makes my heart glow…
I... I wanted you to know.
Because I.... I...-------"

"Hey..." Yuelan would hold her hand tighter. "I might be dense, but I am not dumb either..." She says shakingly as she lets go her Ye Yu's hand and places her metal hand on Ye Yu's cheek again.

Veil of stillness, Qi perfectly hidden until their business was wrapped up. Unless she was needed.

Ye Yu infinitesimaly leaned forward, eyes fixed on the woman confined to bed. "I-... ... forgot the rest of the song... I... had it on the tip of my tongue..." she whispered.

Yuelan's metalic hand would help lead Ye Yu's face closer, as they themselves leaned closer. Their eyes meeting each other. "Shhh..." Yuelan would hush Ye Yu as she leaner herself closer to her. Their breaths mingling together.

Liyan does a quick spot check, making sure no one was in need of immediate need of care. She didn't want to interrupt the moment, so she keeps her presence as small as possible, avoiding that corner of the room. Satisfied she steps back out. A small shiver. For a moment she thought she felt a presence, but there were too many patients, so she dismisses the thought.

Nuwu silently steps into the area, leaning against the divider.

"You can't shush me... you can't make me voiceless, even by being... so pretty" she softly taunted, lips inches away from Yuelan's.

Nuwu got a smile from under her veil. The woman remained present while being on duty.

Unfortunately dear reader, the authentic first kiss passage of this story has been lost to the limbs, only to be remembered by the two lovers! However, the version below transcribed by myself should depict that event as accurately as possible. Yet, your loyal storyteller can not remember with absolute certainty which one made the first move.

"Sure I can~" she answered in a whisper, her breathing mingling together, before closing the gap between their lips, muting the poet in a delicate kiss.

Closing her eyes, Ye Yu fumbled and intertwined her fingers with the bedridden girl who had been on her mind for the last two weeks. She pressed her lips against Yuelan's, following each of her movement to accompany their kiss a bit longer, the feel her warmth, her softness. Her heart, about to explode, was hammering intensely in her chest while her mind was racing and empty at the same time, focusing only on the present moment.

And we resume the official, attested story.

Yuelan's metal fingers would mimic that which Ye Yu's was doing. As she continued to embrace Ye Yu's kisses.

Lost in Yuelan's touch and kiss, Ye Yu momentarily forgot she was in a clinic with people around. Or that her friend -now lover?- was recovering from an amputation. Her world was now all and only revolving around this moment she had been waiting, dreaming and burying deep inside her, under layers of denial.

Yuelan's fingers would slowly run down towards Ye Yu's cheeks, then towards her chin, leaving her metalic fingertips to linger there.

The cold touch made her shivered, yet it was way insufficient to temper her ignited passion. Her hand slowly crawled behind Yuelan's head, pulling her closer in their kiss she wasn't ready to end. She leaned more on the bed, accidentally hitting her guqin with her foot, playing a little note.

The notes being played made Yuelan chuckle, interrupting her side of the kiss. After having been lost in this moment for a while now, she could sense that there was a conversation going on in the same room as them.

Ye Yu blinked, as if waking up from a long dream. She cleared her throat softly, regaining composure and looked away with a shy, sweet smile, her hand resting on Yuelan's one now (-and forever!-). "Iii-... must admit... you did shushed me... very well. Hem!"

"Of course it did." She says with a dumb smile on her face, before sitting up from her bed—still having their hand held. Then she would look at Ye Yu, before looking around the room. Noticing the people having a conversation, her pale skin now redder than ever from being shy.

"I expect you to do not resort to this little trick everytime you want to win an argument... ... ... Or we will have lots" she said, teasing her. "Mhh.. Are you... were you... waiting for some visit, maybe?"

"Well I can't promise that I won't." She replied back. "But I am not waiting on anyone, though there are some others here." Yuelan would nod towards Nüwu and Liyan.

"Are you... hungry maybe? I can make a quick jump in town, to get something warm and yummy if you want? So you recover faster!" she enthusiastically suggested.

"I would not mind some peaches... yeah, peaches." She would reply back to Ye Yu.

"Peaches?! In this season? Where will I..." she sighed. "Alright, peaches then. I'll be back quick. Don't do anything stupid like losing another arm or your legs. Or anything, ok? Or the doctor will have to amputate your ass after I've been done spanking you!" She pretended to be strict but her smile gave her away.

Yuelan would chuckle at what was being said. "I'll be safeee."

She got up, gathering her belongings and leaned over again, planting a new, sweet kiss on Yuelan's lips. "I'll be quick. I'll play you that new song I am learning while you eat those peaches. I won't be long!"

"Take your time, and I look forward to listening to them!"

Unexpected motherhood

Returning from her groceries errands, a basket full of fruits, Ye Yu climbed the stairs again, making sure to be heard this time.

"Ye Yu" she says the name playfully as she passes, giving her a bit a stare

"... What was that?" she wondered, as she walked towards Yuelan's bed.

Yuelan would readjust herself as she saw Ye Yu come back into the room.

Ye Yu smiled, showing her fruity loot. "I brought you a mix of various little treats. And peaches! I had to visit all stores in town, just for those!" she complained happily. Her eyes lingered a bit on the metallic arm before she looked at Yuelan, a hint of concern painting on her face. "How do you feel?"

"All of the stores?" Yuelan seemed surprised over the fact she went that far. "The arm is... better, getting used to it."

"... I... As long as you don't feel bad about it and it does not hurt nor bother you... I didn't knew doctors were able to do such things..."

"I believe the doctors, just helped take the arm off... unsure who made the replacement." Yuelan says as she looks at her metallic arm.

She took a knife and two peaches from the basket, cutting some slices and handing one directly to Yuelan's lips. "You... well... Mhh..." She looked unsure about all that. "Do you mind if I ask you what happened? You told me you got ... stabbed."

"Well.. we got ambushed, me and the others." She would pause to think. "A lady we met was 'crying' and I saw straight through the act, failed to realize she might attack us." She would take a deep breath. "BUT, I was the first to find out as she stabbed my arm with a poisoned dagger..."

Ye Yu stood up and approached Yuelan, allowing herself to sit on the edge of the bed. "I promise you I won't stab you with my knife and those peaches are all but poisoned." She gently pushed a slice in Yuelan's mouth.

Yuelan would smile. "Well you seem to have 'poisoned' me already." She says in a somewhat teasing tone before eating the slice of the peach.

"Hey! What now? Accusing me of being a murderer, when I'm nothing but a thief, at most? Oh! Also!" She took the little Goose Purse and returned it to her owner. "There. A bit... Lighter than when you gave it to me but you'll still find enough to... Get as many peaches as you want. And... Also, I got you a little something for your recovery" she added with a gentle smile, grabbing the basket to look for something inside.

Yuelan would take the goose pouch back. "I meant something else, silly." The pouch really is lighter. "Oh?"

Ye Yu pushed fruits around, recovering a little box at the bottom of the basket, handling it to Yuelan.

"What is this?" She says with a curious tone, as she took the box. Though a bit unsteady on with her metallic arm.

"Did they took your eyes too? It's a box" she laughed. "It's a little something to keep you company when I'm not around."

"Well to be fair, my right eye does lack vision by quite a fair bit..." Yuelan says, holding the box close to her. "Thank you! I appreciate the box!"

"... ..." Ye Yu blinked a few time, not knowing if Yuelan was joking or dumb. She decided to wait just a little more, to be sure.

Yuelan would continue to hug the box, now looking at Ye Yu. "What?"

"You lost an arm... You're half blinded... Did you ask the Doctor to check if you haven't lost your brain too?" she commented.

Yuelan would stop hugging the box for a moment. "Well... I don't remember getting any head injuries.."

"Aaaah!" She gave Yuelan a gentle, yet firm tap on her forehead. "No need to! You definitely have nothing in there, there is nothing to hurt in that empty skull of yours!"

Yuelan would recoil and tilt her head. "But isn't that a good thing?"

"Not when it means you're dumber than a rock! Open that box, you silly!" Still, she could not help but smile.

"OHHH" Yuelan was more surprised about the fact she could open the box, which she did whilst fumbling doing so.

"She is so cute when she's dumb" she thought. "... but still... what a dumb cute one." In the box, a little, small, yellow gosling was sleeping in a cozy improvised nest made of straw and soft feathers.

Yuelan nearly dropped the box right there and then. Seeing the little goose. "What... is... this... devilish creature... doing.. in.. my... BOX." Yuelan seems petrified.

Not expecting such reaction, Ye Yu tilted her head, puzzled. "Sorry, what-? The gosling... it's your gift. I saw your purse, so I guessed you were quite fond of geese...?"

Yuelan would place this DEVLISH creature by her side. "They... are evil" She would put her foot onto the bed and showcase her Geese Bitten ankles.

"This little one hatched today, the day we... well... I called him 爱情花. I hope he will grow strong and live as long or even longer than ou--" she began, before stopping. "... -oh." She simply finished, realizing her gift wasn't the best idea she had. "Maybe... this one will protect you from the others, if you give them love and affection... ?" she tried.

Yuelan would look at the goose as she spoke. As if judging this FOUL demon. "Perhaps I can use this one as a Trojan horse..."

"Iiii-... wasn't really thinking of it that way to be honest, but... as long as you two... get along..."

"I will try..." she says, now looking at Ye Yu. "I will try to get along with this... fiend."

"Oh and I think they will consider you as their mother, as you'll be the first big dumb white thing they'll see!" she added enthusiastically, clapping her hands.

"I am not dumb!" She loudly exclaims as if they are wrong.

"Yuelan and a goose, will they come to a truce?~" she sang. "Indeed, my little box lover" she laughed again.

"Only for NOW though..."

"Shhhhh" she whispered, mimicking Yuelan previous attempt to silent her, now using her lips.

Yuelan chuckled at Ye Yu mimicking her earlier attempts at shushing her. Which she does not complain about.

With her left hand, she found and intertwined her fingers with Yuelan's cold, metalic ones, while gently caressing her cheek with her right one. "I---... It's... kind of new. All this..." she admitted in a whisper.

"The metal arm... or something else..?" Her voice also a whisper.

She shook her head, sighing with a bit of playful exasperation. "One thing which isn't new is you being a cute dummy... Loving you, dumb doe! Loving... someone. Especially... mhh... a... woman? Well, even if, I admit, it is also the first time I see someone with such cold, hard hand. Are you trying to be my everything first time?"

"Think it is fair, considering you are my first... a lot of things." Yuelan's voice lowering ever so slightly.

"Oh? First time getting blamed unfairly for thievery? First time hearing a song just for you? First time... being kissed four time in the same day?" she chuckled, pressing her lips again against Yuelan's soft ones, very gently nibbing on them.

Yuelan was about to speak, but decided to embrace the kiss. Though thinking the nibbling of her lips to be an odd feeling.

"You taste like peaches~ Maybe I should try with another fruit?"

"No," she would say, with a smirk on her face. "I want to taste YOU without anything to distract from it~" She says as she leans in for another kiss.

"Haven't the Doctor said you need vitamins and nutrients to recover? I'm no sure I'm very... nourishing. You'll have to eat me a lot to get your daily dose, you know?" she answered, teasing.

Yuelan would roll her eyes, "Well what do THEY know anyways."

"What a bad, bad girl, not listening to their doctor... You're lucky to be bed ridden" she smirked, leaning to give her the kiss they both wanted, slowly leaning more against her.

Yuelan would embrace the kiss, before answering. "How long I will be bed ridden... I don't know, but I swear I am good!"

"I can testify on this last part... you're indeed tasting very good. Especially your lips, I think I'm getting addicted!~" she whispered. She blindly grabbed another slice of peach she put between hers. "Now, get some of what you asked me to fetch you"

Yuelan would look towards the peaches, quite thankful of Ye Yu buying those for her. Though those thoughts were interrupted by the little goosling that decided to waddle their way towards Yuelan's lap.

"Oooh, but look who decided to join us? Are you cold, ài qíng huā? Poor little feathery ball, your moms are there for you and Yuelan, your Goose mother, will take care of you every days and nights! Right, Yuelan?..."

"Right..." She says slowly as they nest themselves onto her lap. "There, there. Ài Chicken huā" She didn't know how to pronounce the name yet properly.

Straightening back onto the bed, she lost herself in the contemplation of Yuelan and the little nugget on her lap. She knew so few things about her, yet, what she was feeling for her was, paradoxically, the strongest emotions she had felt since... since a long time. A hint of fear started to taint the sweet moment she was having, as old fears started to creep in her mind. She continued to look at her, trying to put her demons back in their box, as Yuelan would have done with the little goose. "How long does a goose live?" she eventually wondered.

"I suppose this little goose is not... to bad." She says, as if she was already regretting calling a Goose 'NOT BAD'. *"Well usually Geese tend to live until they see me..." she answered calmly.

"... Just to be sure, you won't turn ài qíng huā into a skewer nor any other meal, right? Where does this... long hatred between geese and you comes from anyways? Is there ... a story behind it?"

"They stole my lunch." She said clearly, nothing else to add. As if that line alone told the entire story.

"... ..." Ye Yu waited a bit, expecting some more development. "... and...?" she eventually asked.

"And what?" She seems almost dumbfounded by asking if there is a follow up.

"...and... is that all? Some white poultry ate your lunch and you decided you get revenge on all of their specie?" she asked, trying to stay serious.

"Yeah!" She would loudly exclaim, leading to her having a coughing fit. Scaring the little goose. "They are evil..."

Ye Yu could not help but laugh. She gently pushed ài qíng huā back into her palms, comforting the little one, while singing:

"Geez!
Yuelan and geese
A hate and death story
Over some stolen bread and candy!
Now now... It's time to be thinking of peace
This long conflict, let's bring it to cease?"

"It was very delicious food..." Yuelan seems almost sad as she remembers the time that the goose stole her lunch.

"I will stole... -cook-, I will cook you even better meals, for you and geese, so you'll have enough to share and still enjoy it. Don't hold a grudge, you're a goose mom too now! You need to be responsible!"

"I am always responsible!" She says, knowing full well she is lying to herself. "Grudges are okay to have though! As long as they are understandable and valid."

"So, are you really going to be all grumpy and fearsome and not loving with little ài qíng huā, just because of a century old grudge your keeping over a lost meal?" she asked, raising the gosling near her cheek, making a pleading face. "Mommy, mommy, do love me, I'm so innocent and tiny!"

Yuelan would hmph and look the other direction, pretending it does not work on her and that she is super grumpy. Though she can't help but to peek at the poor goose.

"Ohhh... Poor ài qíng huā... It seems your mother doesn't like you. You hatched too soon or too late, I don't know, but you won't live long without someone to care about you, to protect you and to give you a chance to show the world how your white feathers can be soft and bright, as your mom's ones I guess you'll end up dying in the cold or be some cat's dinner tonight..."

"I will murder any cat that looks their direction." She turns her head towards Ye Yu, giving the coldest stare she could, as if she ready to massacre an entire town without hesitation.

Ye Yu, who was being sad because of her own little story, looked a bit surprised by Yuelan's sudden reversal. "I am sorry, said what?" she asked again, trying to hide her smile.

"Shall one of those furballs with claws and scary teeth... hurt this little goosling. I will end that cat's entire family line as they watch it happen in front of them." Yuelan seems... quite serious about this. She would stand up, and put the little gosling on top of her head.

"I don't think it will be necessary
As long as ài qíng huā and you stay together
Any harm, on them or cats, there should not be
And both of you will live forever!"

"It shall be my oath to protect this goose with my life." Yuelan says as if she is taking an oath.

"Awwwww" was Ye Yu's expression, seeing the cute scene, while being a bit worried by the stability of that setup. "Mhh... well... Don't throw your life away too fast yet, I've just found out again, I-... would like to enjoy your company a bit longer too."

"And my company you shall enjoy for as long as you'd like... sweetheart." She took some time before saying the nickname.

"... even forever? ... I think you should take some rest now, lo... little doe. It must has been a long day for you."

"Unless my fate says otherwise... then yes. I shall try to do so, do you want the goose to stay here in the clinic...?"

"Then I would simply arrange a meeting with your fate and have a few words with them! Until then, yes, keep ài qíng huā with you, I left some peas and food in the basket for them too. Make sure they don't get cold, they really need lots of loving warm hugs."

"I shall try and keep them safe!" Yuelan says as she laid down on the bed again. "Hopefully they won't run amuck."

She watched the duo with fond eyes and a melting heart. "Rest well you two. I'll come to visit you tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after again until you're ready to run in the fields again!"

Yuelan would nod, her eyes getting more and more drowsy. As she has had an exhausting day. "I shall try my best to..." She yawns bit sentence. "To rest."

Ye Yu leaned over her, kissing her on the forehead and giving a smack on the little gosling too.

"Lovely doe, it's time to sleep
Count to ten white fluffy sheep
An eye over you, all night, I'll keep~"

Silently grabbing her instruments and hat, she made a few step away, stopping to watch them sleep.

Yuelan would watch as Ye Yu left, "Bye bye..." she said gently with a smile.

"Oh, I forgot to play her my new song... and to tell her my true name!" she realized after leaving the clinic. "Well... Let's keep some topics for tomorrow. And the next days. And the days after. We have so much to live now..." she thought with a smile on her lips.
